I turned forty on July 31, 2025. In many cultures, the number 40 carries significance—it’s seen as a threshold, a crucible, or a marker of maturity. In mystic traditions, it can even symbolize an ascent to a higher plane or a spiritual awakening.
I can’t say I feel such changes in myself just yet, but I still chose to mark the occasion. At midnight, as the day began, I invited people to join me in the center of the city for a live performance—to celebrate the moment I officially crossed that threshold.
