Sometimes the idea of a piece gets a boost from very vague and hidden layers of the unconscious mind. One day, when I came across a picture of a pyramid in a book, I had the feeling that this was the first time I had seen such a beautiful volume. This feeling became the basis for a body of sketches intending to rediscover the beauty of this shape. During the process, I gradually started to add other elements, including a mirror on top of the pyramid which binds the piece with the surroundings and visitors, and a long wooden piece hung from a metal rod in the center of the structure that keeps the vertical and horizontal axle of the composition in balance.
