A Short Course on The Theory of Design Naturally- 2014
This was the second time I had this chance to present the Theory of Design Naturally as a short course in Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in February 2014. There were almost 14 first-year students of industrial design, participating in the class for almost two intense weeks. Each session usually starts with an introduction and a short discussion about the theories and continues with some exercises to make sure that everyone has understood the logic behind the principles and this theory in general. After a few days of elaboration on the theoretical basis and some practical exercises with clay, all of the participants were asked to design a simple product by applying the theory of Design Naturally as their final project. I was almost always present there when the students were working, both to help and also learn about their comments and thoughts on this theory as a new approach in designing forms in product design.
